What you are about to witness is a real life DIY Command Center from a real family home. This is not a simulation:) please enjoy! It is almost time for us to prepare for back to school and I am in organization mode, as is most of the year actually. There is always something to organize, am I right? Here is a nice DIY room decor project to help inspire, it is our family’s home DIY Command Center -Crisp and Clean reveal! It is full of helpful tools to help start the school year off right while keeping the household and family in order during those busy weekdays.

BEFOREDIY Command Center makeover reveal real life before- SWEETHAUTEI wanted to lighten this space as much as possible. It was a desk inlet nook near our kitchen of this rental house. Placing the DIY Command Center here made perfect sense because this is where the family naturally congregates.

DIY Command Center apply faux marble contact paper for a boost of light- SWEETHAUTE
When adding removable faux marble contact paper to your surfaces, make sure to apply in this method above. Roll onto surface while at the same time removing the wax backing. Do not remove backing then apply. This will make it much easier to manage and reduce the amount of bubbles and wrinkles.

I am very fond of my faux marble counter tops, if this were not a rental, I would definitely done a more permanent fix. I cannot wait until we return to our home we ‘own’ so I can change some of the counters to real marble….just glorious!

My original plan was to re-do the inside of this dry erase board since I didn’t care for the pink, but I couldn’t get into the back of the glass since it was stapled shut through the wood frame. I will think of something, or maybe the pink will grow on me?
