Lavender Baby Bedtime Lotion

1/2 cup Organic Coconut Oil
5 Drops Lavender Essential Oil

Glass Container

Optional: 1/2 cup Organic Cocoa Butter
Optional: 1/2 cup Organic Shea Butter
Optional: 1/2 cup Organic Bees Wax

Tip: You can make it with only coconut oil and lavender, but if you do not like the consistency {too oily} then add some cocoa butter or shea butter until lotion becomes thicker. If you use bees wax you must melt the coconut oil and bees wax together with double boiler, then cool prior to use.

  • LOVE this recipe. So easy, and so few ingredients. I just don’t understand why beauty products have to have a zillion ingredients. This one is perfect 2 ingredients. Can add more if you want to add additional benefits but still could pronounce all of them 🙂

I’ll try this for me, I want baby soft skin:)

    • thanks for visiting Maria, coconut oil is great for baby soft skin

  • Amy Green says:

Lavender always has an uplifting, inspiring fragrance. One thing to caution your readers is to know that lavender can trigger asthma, just to be on the safe side.

    • If your child| person has asthma, please do not try this without consulting a physician.

  • Is there a shelf life for this?

    • the same expiration ‘date’ of the coconut oil you use to make it with.

  • I made this recipe last night and added shea butter. I used my hand mixer to whip all the ingredients together. I love the smell but the texture is gritty. I’m guessing it’s the coconut oil. Next time, could I just use liquid coconut oil to prevent this?

    • hmmmm you could try it, I used my favorite coconut oil….its listed in post, and it is super creamy in texture

  • Where did you buy that glass jar from? It’s cute
